Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. At age 16 she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense singing instruction. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. After 2000, she emigrated to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
